Weather.city is an independent project that turns official public weather data — chiefly NOAA/NWS — into fast, clean, point-to-point forecasts and graphics. Here's how we handle your privacy, and the terms under which these products are offered.

Privacy — plain and simple

We built this to be respectful by default. There are no accounts to create and nothing to sign in to.

No personal data is saved. We don't collect names, emails, accounts, or profiles — there's nothing personal to store.
No ad trackers. There are no third-party advertising networks, no marketing pixels, and no cross-site tracking of any kind.
No cookies are set for tracking, and we don't sell, rent, or share data — because we don't gather it in the first place.

The only thing we tally is aggregate search popularity — which places are looked up, in the aggregate, to power the live "Hot Spots" board. That count is never tied to a person, carries no identifiers, and cannot be traced back to you. Weather data you request is fetched live from public sources and isn't logged against you.

Use, Responsibility & Liability

Weather.city and everything on it — forecasts, maps, alerts, rankings, and all other products and pages — are provided “as is,” for general informational purposes only, and may contain errors, omissions, delays, or inaccuracies. Forecasts are inherently uncertain, and the underlying model and observation data can be wrong or out of date.

Any and all responsibility for using these products and pages rests entirely with you, the user. You use them at your own risk. Do not rely on Weather.city for life-safety, emergency, aviation, marine, commercial, or other critical decisions — for those, always consult the National Weather Service, local emergency management, and other official authorities.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Weather.city assumes no liability and makes no warranties, express or implied, of any kind — including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or availability — and shall not be held responsible for any loss, injury, or damages of any nature arising from the use of, or reliance on, anything provided here.

Data & Credits

Forecasts and alerts come from NOAA / National Weather Service (NDFD, active alerts, observations); Canadian data from Environment and Climate Change Canada; geography from the U.S. Census Bureau, Natural Earth, and OpenStreetMap. These agencies and contributors are the authoritative sources — Weather.city is an independent presentation layer and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.
